This guide, a translation of the British Trust for Ornithology’s Guide to the Identification and Ageing of Holarctic Waders, offers the main guidelines for the correct identification of 117 species of waders found in the Holarctic region. In many cases this is accompanied by information on how to date and sex the individuals in different seasons of the year, which will be of great use to ringers and other researchers of waders all over the world.
