This guide includes more than 20 new species for the region which are recent discoveries, taxonomic "splits" or have been recorded there for the first time. There are many new artworks and this edition has 16 more colour plates than the original. The text has been meticulously updated to take in the latest information on each species. This guide is more portable and compact than its predecessor but still manages to include an extra 38 col plates to aid identification. As in the previous volume, Robson details the plumage variations of 1250 bird species found in South-east Asia and Thailand.
