La forma del viento / Shaped by the wind

Birds are one of the many forms the wind adopts in order to be seen. This book is a sample of the work of its author, a painter and biologist who for forty years has combined observation of the natural world with its pictorial representation. His work is based on the direct observation of animals in their environment, not only in Spain, but in other countries and environments.

The book includes watercolours, oil paintings, and sketches from life of different bird species. This work is to be published on the occasion of the retrospective exhibition “Shaped by the wind” (National Museum of Natural Sciences of Madrid, June 2016).
